There are instances where the advisers will attempt to buy or sell a specific asset and will encounter error messages. In the example below - the adviser is attempting to sell an asset and encountered an error message which says 'The asset cannot currently be sold'. In this case, we need to verify the asset data and investigate if it was configured correctly.

Requirements:
- Access to client platform
Instructions
- Go to the platform and select 'Market Data' under 'Main Menu'.

2. Look for the asset by clicking the 'Search' field and put in any of these details; Asset Name, ISIN, Ticket and hit enter.

3. Once you have selected the asset, you will see all the details about it; price history, model portfolios where the asset is included, is the asset buyable or sellable, etc. From there, you can verify and isolate the issue of the error message.

4. You may also configure the asset information by click the 'Update Asset' under 'Overview' section.

5. On the 'Update Asset' page, you will be given an option to change the information of the asset from its static data, fund data, and all information related to the asset.
In the issue above, the adviser encountered an error message 'The asset cannot currently be sold', because the asset is set to not be sold and to resolve the issue, the adviser can update the asset data to make it sellable.
