UAT (User Acceptance Testing) - sometimes called beta testing or end-user testing, is a phase of software development in which the software is tested in the real world by the intended audience or business representative.
In cases where users are experiencing downtime of the UAT environment - this may be the possible issues:
- UAT automatically switches off after a set number of hours having received no requests, to save infrastructure resource. The first request to it after this auto-switch-off then causes a cold start until the service becomes available again.
- UAT environment runs on less powerful infrastructure than the live environment, with more resource pooling, due to it typically being used by very few users. If a testing user has instantiated a large number of resource-intensive processes, then this may affect the service for other users.
For Titan UAT, counterparties/other information in the UAT platform need to be added in GBO UAT and will then feed through to the UAT platform on the normal file transfer schedule.
